As part of “May is Mental Health Month” Clara Martin Center employees held Green Up Day activities at their locations in Randolph, Bradford and Wilder. Believing that healthy environments contribute to overall well being, Clara Martin Center took their motto “People Helping People” to the streets to help the communities they serve.

Green Up Day was initiated in 1969 by Governor Deane C. Davis as an effort to clean up litter from Vermont’s roadsides with an army of volunteers. The tradition carries on across the State and at Clara Martin Center, where it is particularly important for Linda Chambers, Executive Director, and the granddaughter of Governor Davis, who is keeping his memory and legacy alive and well.
